The Central Government is considering another bumper pay hike (Salary Hike) in the new year after giving diwali gift to its employees with DA, HRA, TA hike. According to media reports, as per the advice of the 7th Pay Commission (7th Pay Commission), the central government employees are likely to increase their pay, with minimum wages or basic pay hike.
People who work under the central government have requested officials to increase the fitment factor from 2.57 per cent to 3.68 per cent. Now, finally, a decision is possible before the presentation of the Union Budget 2022.
The pay hike will be included in the upcoming budget expenditure after the green signal is from the Union Cabinet. The increase in fitment factor will not only increase the pay of central government employees but also increase the minimum wages of central government employees.
Currently, the pay is calculated at 2.57 per cent fitment factor and accordingly the basic pay is Rs 18,000. However, if the government agrees with the 3.68 per cent fitment factor staked out, the basic pay will go up by Rs 8000 and reach the level of Rs 26,000.
